About Graham Montague

Graham MontagueGraham Montague's interest in natural healing began during the 1970s and was nurtured by his dedicated involvement in yoga, martial arts and macrobiotics. He began practicing natural medicine and homeopathy after graduating from the Institute of Alternative Medicine in London, in 1983. He then undertook a five-year apprenticeship with a senior practitioner whilst continuing his studies, and received his doctoral degree in naturopathic medicine from the International College of Natural Health Science in 1988. Graham subsequently entered full-time osteopathic education and graduated from the Andrew Still College of Osteopathy in 1993. He then served as a volunteer intern at the Osteopathic Centre for Children in London, and completed postgraduate courses in Health and Exercise Studies, Health Education and Craniosacral Therapy.

Whilst working as an osteopathic primary health care practitioner, Graham also taught at several four-year, full-time colleges of osteopathic medicine and classical homeopathy. He was also centrally involved in curriculum development and degree validation programs for these colleges. Having taught a three-year, part-time course in naturopathy for the Association of Natural Medicine, Graham co-founded the London College of Naturopathic Medicine and Health Science in 1996. He still returns regularly to the UK as a guest lecturer and in 2006 was conferred the postgraduate diploma of the college in recognition of his decade of service.

Since moving to the US in 2000 Graham has worked to establish a certified Bio-intensive mini-farm in Southern Indiana whilst serving the local rural community as a traditional naturopath. In 2005, he passed the examinations of the American Naturopathic Certification Board and joined the team of practitioners at the Center for Wholism in Bloomington, Indiana.

Graham's therapeutic approach includes dietary and lifestyle counselling (including nutritional and botanical supplementation), constitutional hydrotherapy, classical homeopathy and craniosacral therapy. When asked to describe the essential nature of his work in one sentence, he responds: "Not so much a therapy - more a Way of Life."
